Our advice covers the entire life cycle of real estate. In interdisciplinary teams, we also advise our clients, for example, on corporate law and tax issues as well as in connection with notarial services.
In transactions, we assist our clients from due diligence (examination and valuation of the properties concerned), financing, drafting and negotiating the letter of intent as well as the purchase agreement (share deals as well as asset deals) to the notarisation of the real estate transaction as well as its completion. We advise foreign investors, for example, on the purchase and sale of hotels, office buildings or other commercial real estate.
In addition to transactions, we advise on all aspects of portfolio management and the optimisation of real estate portfolios (asset management). The usual contractual tools for securing and optimising earnings are also our daily practice. In addition, we accompany the outsourcing of services and support our clients in legal aspects of their day-to-day business. We advise on the most appropriate contractual arrangements for letting and leasing real estate and support clients in long-standing tenancies. We offer industry-specific solutions for special real estate and represent clients in and out of court in the enforcement and defence of disputed claims.
Public law plays an essential role in our real estate law advice. We advise project developers and commercial enterprises as well as municipalities and public corporations on municipal land development as well as on the development of complex construction projects. We accompany negotiations with investors, authorities and other parties involved on all aspects of building and planning law, including monument and nature conservation law. We provide support in development plan procedures and building permit processes, on public law contracts and neighbour agreements as well as in administrative court proceedings.
We assist in the negotiation of construction, architect, engineer and project management contracts as well as general contractor and general transferee construction contracts, the execution of construction work, the termination of contractual agreements and the marketing of the objects. In contentious issues, e.g. in connection with warranty claims, we also represent our clients in court.
We advise on project development from the planning stage through construction to sale, in particular on private and public construction and plant law as well as contract for work and public procurement law. This includes advice on the acquisition of real estate, on public procurement procedures and on issues relating to the protection of historical monuments, construction planning and building regulations. We draft and negotiate contracts with architects, engineers and project management, general contractors and general transferees as well as other construction contracts.
