About Christian Breetzke

Christian studied law at the University of Bonn. During his studies and subsequent legal clerkship, he already worked in the labour law department of avocado rechtsanwälte in Cologne.

After his admission to the bar in 2013, he commenced his activities in the labour law department of a renowned Düsseldorf-based law firm. In 2018, he was appointed a certified specialist lawyer in labour law.

Christian joined the Cologne office of avocado rechtsanwälte in spring 2024.

It's not about running through the wall with your head, but finding the door with your eyes.

Christian is an experienced lawyer specialising in advising companies, in particular medium-sized companies and companies with group structures, as well as executives in all areas of individual and collective labour law. A key focus of his work is providing his clients with comprehensive ongoing labour law advice.

His advisory practice includes the drafting of contracts (employment contracts, service contracts), all forms of terminating employment relationships (dismissals, cancellation agreements, settlement agreements), modern and flexible forms of work (mobile work, etc.), company and collective bargaining law issues and negotiations, social law issues as well as representing clients in individual and collective proceedings throughout Germany.

He also advises his clients in areas of social law related to labour law and represents them in court.

Christian is recognised for his publications and lectures on labour law.
