About Norbert Windeln
Dr. Norbert Windeln studied law at the University of Cologne, completed a Masters Programme at the University of Hull in International Business Law and wrote his doctoral thesis on the reform of the Works Constitution Act with Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Peter Hanau. Since 2004 he has been practicing as a lawyer. Before joining avocado rechtsanwälte in March 2010, he worked over a number of years in the labour law department of a reputable medium-sized law firm in Cologne.
One has to see both sides in order to be able to successfully represent one side.
Dr. Windeln provides legal advice to medium-sized companies and major corporations on all aspects of individual and collective labour law. Among others, he is specialised in drafting labour and employment contracts, handling disputes relating to the termination of employment relationships, providing legal advice with regard to the restructuring of companies including negotiations with the works council as well as other issues of collective bargaining agreements and works constitution law. He pays special heed to providing legal advice to foreign and international companies doing business in Germany.
Dr. Windeln is author of more than 200 labour law publications. In addition, he is in charge of management seminars for companies on labour law subjects and acts as a lecturer for further training of Certified Specialised Lawyers for Labour Law (“Fachanwälte für Arbeitsrecht") on a regular basis.
