About Lukas Ströbel
Lukas advises national and international companies on data protection law, IT law, media and copyright law as well as general commercial law. His special focus lies on complex data protection issues regarding the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act and employee data protection.
He regularly represents companies in negotiations with data protection supervisory authorities and in court on IT and data protection issues. He has extensive experience in all areas of employee data protection, such as the drafting and negotiation of works council agreements, data protection and IT guidelines. In addition, Lukas regularly advises companies and groups of companies on the lawful design of their internal data protection concepts.
Lukas studied law at the University of Passau. Following his studies, he completed his doctorate with a focus on media and data protection law at the "Privatheit" graduate college in Passau. During his legal clerkship and after completing his second state examination, he worked for several years as a lawyer in international commercial law firms specialising in data protection law before joining the Frankfurt office of avocado rechtsanwälte in 2019. Lukas is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has qualified as a Certified Information Privacy Professional - Europe (CIPP/E) in March 2023.
