avocado rechtsanwälte strengthens IP practice with Philipp Ess

avocado rechtsanwälte strengthens its Practice Group Intellectual Property, Media and Information Technology with Philipp Ess, who will join the Frankfurt office as of February 1, 2023.

"With Philipp Ess, we are gaining a highly proven IP expert for our Frankfurt office," explains Co-Managing Partner Dr. Christian Berger. "With his more than 10 years of experience and in-depth expertise in IP and patent law as well as his client structure, he will be an excellent contribution to our practice. We are very much looking forward to working together."

Philipp Ess has extensive experience in advising and litigating in patent law, unfair competition law and licensing law. In addition, Philipp Ess is particularly experienced in the prevention and prosecution of industrial espionage. He also specialises in information technology law as well as commercial and distribution law.

Philipp Ess studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He is a Certified Specialist Attorney for Intellectual Property Law (Fachanwalt für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz) and a member of the Board of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) in Frankfurt. Before joining avocado rechtsanwälte, he worked for the renowned IP and media law firm Klinkert Rechtsanwälte for over 10 years.
