About Saskia Barth

Saskia Barth is a lawyer and counsel in avocado's Berlin office since 2003. She studied law in Munich. After working for the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, she became licensed as a lawyer in 1994 and initially worked  at a renowned  construction law firm in Munich. 

Saskia Barth advises exclusively on private construction law. The scope of her activities ranges from advising on the drafting of construction contracts and providing legal support during the execution of construction projects, to enforcing or defending against compensation claims and claims relating to defects.  Her clients include contracting bodies as well as contractors from the fields of building construction, civil engineering and plant construction who Saskia represents both in and out of court. Another area of her expertise is architectural and civil engineering law, in particular the enforcement of fee claims and defense against liability claims.

Saskia Barth is also a mediator. She puts great emphasis  on dispute avoidance and out-of-court settlements, which are of particular importance in private construction law.

She also regularly gives lectures  on private construction law for various educational and training institutions as well as for in-house seminars.
