Dr. Gregor Ischebeck studied law at the universities of Freiburg, Vancouver and Bonn.
After his first state exam Gregor worked for the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. He was part of a unit dealing with genetic resources, biological diversity and biological patents. He earned his doctorate under supervision of Prof. Dr. Matthias Herdegen (University of Bonn) by submitting his doctoral thesis on biological patents. For his doctoral thesis dealing with the patentability of animals in the European Union he received the award of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bonn for the best thesis in 2015 as well as the “Konrad-Redeker-Preis 2015”, awarded by the Konrad-Redeker-Stiftung.
During his legal clerkship Gregor worked for the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt), the Brussels Office of the German Pharmaceutical Industry association (BPI) and as trainee lawyer for a law firm in Cologne in the area of Intellectual Property Rights.
Dr. Gregor Ischebeck joined the Cologne office of avocado in 2013. In 2014 Gregor has admitted to the bar.
His practice includes the provision of legal advice to and representation of waste management enterprises as well as enterprises from the manufacturing industry regarding all aspects of environmental law, in particular waste management and the implementation of REACH.
